International Resources
International investment is important to Oklahoma City's economy. Last year, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce expanded its Economic Development Division to include international trade. The following includes the Chamber's focus on international business development and the resources available.
Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce international business development focus:
1) Help existing Oklahoma City businesses to enter and/or expand into the global marketplace;
2) Seek "reverse investment" into Oklahoma City from expanding international firms;
3) Represent the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce by hosting trade delegations to Oklahoma City, making local business connections with international companies (either companies located outside the U.S. interested in investing in Oklahoma City or companies located in Oklahoma City interested in exporting products outside the U.S.), and participating in trade conferences and seminars as well as outside trade missions to "sell" Oklahoma City.
4)Administrate Oklahoma City's relationship with our five international Sister Cities;
5)Provide statewide investment attraction support via Governor's International Team participation.
