Chinatown New Main Gate
Review
This Chinatown New Main Gateway was officially opened on June 28, 2001 by Join Council District I councilman Mike Hernandez. This new gate is located on 600 N. Broadway, between N. Broadway and Cesar Chavez.
Chinatown Old Main Gate
Review
This landmark of Chinatown on North Broadway was constructed in 1938 by You Chung Hong, the first Chinese American lawyer. On top of this gate, there is a plague with four-character motto, inscribed "Cooperate to Achieve" by the Chinese Consul T.K. Chang.
Dr. Sun Yat Sen Statue
Review
The status was constructed in 1964 on the East Side Gate. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen is the father of the Republic of China. In 1911, Dr. Sun overthrow the Manchu dynasty. Dr. Sun's effort and struggle has earned him as the George Washington of China.
Gin Ling Way
Review
This is the first and main street in the Central Plaza from East Gate on North Broadway to the West Gate on the North Hill Street. It is the street of "Golden Treasures", which is famous in Old Peking. In this street, there are a number of two-story commercial buildings.
Mei Ling Way
Review
Named after Chiang Kai-Shek's wife, this street links Lei Ming Way, Jung Jing Rd, and Gin Ling Way. The interesting point of this street is the Golden Pagoda, which was opened in 1940. Right now this Golden Pagoda has become Hop Louie's Jade Pagoda.
