Qiantong Town in Yanshan is the site where Xu Fu of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.) crossed the sea to Japan with 3,000 boys and girls. The Qiantong Shrine which houses the statue of Xu Fu has been renovated and open to the public.
