Shanghai Museum is a large-scale comprehensive art museum with a 123,000-piece collection of cultural relics with a focus on bronze and porcelain works, books and paintings. The Shanghai Museum, completed at the end of 1994, has attracted numerous Chinese and foreign visitors with its world-class design, scientific and technical facilities, and art treasures. The museum building is shaped like a large bronze pot and is refined and sedate. It has 10 exhibition halls devoted to different subjects, one hall for donated relics and three temporary exhibition halls. The museum building is disability accessible.
